JOTI 2009 is already over for some weeks, users decreased and some cleanup is also already done. So time to do something else? No, JOTI 2010 will be there faster as you think and so we are already planning a lot of changes for next year. As nothing is ready yet i won't post exact details about what we plan but one thing i can say: It will  make things easier.
At a first stage only for all techies (this means we can faster process your requests). Later also CCs and IRCops may benefit from the changes, but till all this happens there is a lot of work todo.

The number netsplit.org measures is again smaller (their bot only vists us every X Minutes)

There are several Servers during JOTI you can use. We recommend to use one of our RoundRobins (you get connected to a Server out of a big list automatically). Servers with a 't' as last character in their countrycode a temporary and will only be available during JOTI. Here is always only a short name shown. The full address of de04 would be de04.scoutlink.net

Servers in Germany

Just counted the Servers we have online for IRC right now. We have right now 22 machines online (24 Are in our up to date list).
I'm going to publish a list of all machines this week so you could select one near you.

So we are quite confident to handle the load during JOTI. We are currently working on a statistics System, maybe we are able to finish it before JOTI so that we can give you nice graphs :)
