#Youth is now due for re-election of its Youth Co-ordinator.

This takes place every three year. I am requesting nominations for this position as Youth coordinator to the Scoutlink Council.

The successful applicant will be expected to:

• Represent the regular #Youth users to the Scoutlink council and attend Council meetings when requested.
  Represent and promote #Youth within the Scoutlink Community.
  Take a Leading role in the #Youth Team.
  Oversee the election of Chairman, Secretary and #youth channel ops.

Nominations will be accepted from #youth users.  Those eligible to nominate, or be elected,

• Must have been registered users of Scoutlink for at least the past three months
• The person nominated should be over the age of 18
• A member of the relevant Scout or Guide association.

If you wish to nominate a user (or yourself) for the position of #Youth Coordinator then email  roger-uk@scoutlink.net using the following message format:

• The subject must read "#youth nomination"
• The message body must state the nick of the person you are nominating on the first line and your own nick on the second line.

Any emails not conforming to the above instructions (including emails returned to these lists) will not be considered.

All nominations should be returned by 11:00 GMT on 31st July 2010.

All eligible nominated users will be asked if they would be willing to take on the position of #Youth Coordinator after which a voting period of one week will be given.

In the event of only one nomination being received, then the vote will be a yes/no vote, otherwise a majority vote by single transferable vote will be used.  In either case, the decision will be made by a majority vote of those who cast a vote.  For an abstention to be counted, an abstention vote must be returned.
